ALBUQUERQUE - The 2008 C4C NM Draw Hunt Banquet served a full house Jan. 25, as over 100 members and guests attended the annual information fest.
The annual Crosshairs for Christ banquet held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho was the third annual event.
The evening opened with Republican Senator Joseph Carraro, the District 23 Westside Representative, sharing his stance on key issues in his bid for the U.S. Congress position currently held by Heather Wilson. The Senator finished with an open invitation for questions from Crosshairs for Christ members. Carraro is most noted for his 20 years of service in the roundhouse, Senator Carraro has fought to lower taxes and decrease government spending.
Jaime Cherry followed, putting the evening back on track with her presentation titled, “Women in the Outdoors.” Jaime brought home the message that women can enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and hiking while discovering their own passion for adventure and Christ.
Lance Cherry, C4C founder and New Mexico Game and Fish Assistant Chief, Public Information delivered the much anticipated, “How to Succeed in the Draw.” He closed by reminding members that prayer was the first step to success.
Pastor Dan Lewis focused on the mission and called for renewed dedication to the ministry. Lewis is pastor of SoulRio Church and a C4C founder.

As the evening closed, Drew O’Bryan won the Ruger 10-22 and Joe Simons won the 20 ga. Remington Wingmaster.
