What is
CROSSHAIRS for CHRIST?
CROSSHAIRS for CHRIST (C4C) is a Christian ministry devoted to
spreading Christ’s message to sportsmen and outdoor enthusiasts
through participation in big game, waterfowl and migratory bird
hunts, fishing
excursions, camping trips and outreach events.
Why should I start a CROSSHAIRS for CHRIST chapter rather than
starting my own ministry?
We believe you should start whatever GOD calls you to start. Whether
you start a C4C Chapter or a Christian ministry of your own, ultimately
the goal should be the same. Share Jesus Christ with as many people
as possible. We do however see these benefits to being a part of
a bigger vision and offer these 3 reasons for starters: 1. A strong
sportsmen group has the power to influence the State Game Commission
and lobby for changes to existing laws as the organization see
fit. 2. As the organization grows, so will the opportunities to
network and support each others Chapters. Often people ask about
Chapters in their own communities. 3. Since serving is such an
important function of each Chapter, you will easily find support
for your outreach events, experts in various skills and friends
willing to open there homes in every Chapter community.
What is a C4C HuntMaster?
The HuntMaster is first and foremost a servant. They should provide
leadership, organization, spiritual guidance. The HuntMaster’s
number one duty is to pray and pray often for their members.
What is a CampMaster?
The CampMaster is a well-trained hunt/camp organizer. They are
real servants who often enjoy planning the meals, assisting with
gear and making sure everyone is comfortable in camp. Chapters
may have several CampMasters.
Is C4C affiliated with a church?
C4C began as a SoulRio Church ministry but has since grown to include
many members from various Christian churches including, Baptist,
Non-Denominational, Grace Church, Methodist, Presbyterian, and
Catholic. In addition, any local Christian Church can sponsor
a C4C chapter.
Why is the value of church sponsored chapters?
Simply put…Accountability. C4C desires for each Chapter to
have a Christian Church sponsor. In our eyes, it is the role of
the local church to exercise their authority to correct us, should
the ministry ever fall off course. The sole purpose of this ministry
is to complete GOD’s great commission and we believe the
church provides the critical balance needed to preserve our intent.
What does the crosshairs on the cross represent in the C4C logo?
Only one thing, that C4C members never lose sight of the salvation
the cross represents. The large “c” that encompasses
the crosshairs and cross, is meant to signify Christ’s
encompassing power to conquer death, forgive our sins and save
our souls.
Do Chapters compete with other Chapters for membership?
Never. This ministry is not in the business of church membership
swiping. C4C is in the business of hunting for new souls. Jesus
Christ called each of us to go out a share his message of salvation.
It is the vision of C4C to find non-believers, share the Good
News and add them to our numbers of believers.
How much are the annual dues?
C4C requests an annual donation of $20 to help offset the costs
of workshop materials, membership materials and administrative
expenses. However, C4C will never enforce a fee as it is our
intent to make membership as easy as possible. We are not “IN
A DESPERATE TIME OF NEED!” We request that each of our
Chapter observe the same philosophy and work rather to inspire
financial support rather than obligate it. Additional funds may
be raised through the sale of merchandise such as patches, T-shirts,
hats, event tickets or other creative opportunities.
What is the C4C standard for ministry?
Chapters are encouraged to follow the paths laid out by the chartering
Christian church. C4C believes ministry is best left to an individual’s
calling and should be determined between you and GOD
How is the C4C Chapter structured?
C4C desires for start-up Chapters to be established with a HuntMaster
and 5-10 founding members. The Chapter shall be chartered through
their local Christian church and supported by the C4C Ministry
headquarters. Founding members should be men or women with a
strong faith and understanding of GOD.
How do I become a C4C member?
Get involved. Go on a hunt. Serve your local chapter.
