Once
you start fishing for these bad boys, you’ll be
snagged. No joke! The most popular way to land your bag
of Kokonee Salmon is to snagging them with a treble hook
after the spawn. During this time, the spawning male
will display a Long snout, arched back, and they will
have a pinkish red to orange color. The females will
appear a bluish green along the back with silvery sides.
For a more rewarding challenge tackle the monsters, before
the spawn. Not only will the fish provide a better fight,
but they will also be firmer and healthier. Try trolling
in the summer between 50 and 90 feet deep. Your best
bet is to entice them with a downrigger.
